Advance:  Just come and follow me

John 2:1-11 (New International Version)

1On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, 2and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. 3When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine."

4"Dear woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied, "My time has not yet come."

5His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."

6Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.^[a]

7Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.

8Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet."

   They did so, 9and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."

11This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

    Many times in our lives, all we need it to advance. just Go ahead. We have a time to prepare but we have to be reminded that the reason why we prepare is for us to ADVANCE.

our Spirituality is always be om advance, GO FORWARD... only when we embrace a life of advance will we experience surprises. If Jesus is the one who calls to come and follow... let's COME and FOLLOW. let's ADVANCE.

I. we love people

"jesus was invited" verse 2

Jesus is always invited to parties. Do you wonder why religious people are not invited to parties? because they are boring.

How's your spirituality? are you inviting? DO you invite people to be with you to advance?

II. we love God

"My hour has not yet come" verse 4

Jesus intimacy with His father is so amazing, He know when is the right time or not to do miracles. If you love God, you will listen to what He tells you. You will know His vision for your life.

Do you know God's vision for your life? how intimate are you to listen.

III we are willing to advance: we advance
mary said "whatever He says to you, do it" verse 5

If we advance and come and follow God, He will do the miracle. Don't play it safe... the invitation is just simple... Go and make disciples of all nations. come and follow me. Advance

The thing with people is that the invitation has always been there. But they don't do anything about it.

its great, great to have you here... really nice that i heard from you.
yes, i agree with you, people many times ignore invitations because they have a choice. Choice is the proof of God's love.

Love is a choice. if you ever have to love God, you have to CHOOSE to love Him above everything else.

Jesus invitation is for life of adventure and risk and advance. Many people have misunderstood it to be like being just nice, average, comfort.

Jesus invitation will freak you out, if ever we/you dare to advance.
